Breitling’s ultimate all-purpose sports watch is ready for anything. The Chronomat holds a pivotal place in the brand’s modern history. Introduced for Breitling’s centennial in 1984, at a time when quartz movements dominated, it marked a bold returnto mechanically driven watches. It was born from a collaboration with the beloved Italian aerobatic squadron, the Frecce Tricolori.When the team asked for an analog timepiece that could withstand the intensity of a jet cockpit and still look stylish enough to beworn to formal events—Breitling developed the “Chronograph Frecce Tricolori.” It was the blueprint for the Chronomat to follow one year later.

Available in stainless steel, 18 k red gold, or in steel with a platinum bezel, the Chronomat B01 42 features an instantly recognizable bezel with its four raised rider tabs at the 15-minute marks. Available in a range of colorful dials, the Chronomat has a fully-integrated signature Rouleaux bracelet with micro adjustments on both sides of the clasp. True to the original, the Chronomat is powered by the in-house Breitling Manufacture Caliber 01. It is a tried and tested COSC-certified chronograph caliber with a 6 o’clock date and a 70-hour power reserve. The case is water resistant to 200 m, making it ready for every environment.
